KOOP is thrilled to announce that they have been selelcted as Radio Station of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists. Rod Moag, host of the Country, Swing, and Rockabilly Jamboree; and Mark Rashap, host of Another Bottle Down, journeyed to the award ceremony in Fort Worth on March 16 to accept the handsome award--an abstract statue of Will Rogers atop a marble base. Several other awardees gave thanks to KOOP for helping to promote their music.

Malvern Books is excited to celebrate National Poetry Month all April long! Apr 2 at 4pm, they will be hosting a reading with acclaimed poets Dan Boehl, Katy Chrisler, and Cindy St. John. Apr 4 at 7pm celebrate the launch of Michael Anania’s poetry collection, Continuous Showings. Apr 5 starting at 7pm will be a night with Austin’s Typewriter Rodeo! Lone Star Market Research is currently looking for developers who are hands-on in the development/architecture of the back-end of apps – specifically using ‘big data’ tools, for example- Amazon (EMR) or Google (Big Data or Big Query) etc.. Malvern Books is excited to host another round of Malvern's Multi-Verse on Feb 28 at 7pm, and this month features Pen2Paper, a disability-focused creative writing competition. Pen2Paper gives writers with disabilities a forum where they can share their work and brings awareness to disability issues through the arts. Also on Mar 3 at 7pm they're delighted to be celebrating the kick-off of Mathias Svalina’s Dream Delivery Service in Austin, in which Svalina takes subscribers and writes dreams, consisting of brief prose-poems or flash-fiction, for them every day for a month.
