End of an Ear will be closed on Thanksgiving but is ready to wow you with deals and new releases as soon as Black Friday rolls around. There is a whole list of special releases set for that day and you can find the list on their website. They are also excited to take part in Punk TV Mayhem in conjunction with AFS Cinema on Dec 1 at 10pm. In the early '80s, network TV finally caught up with the punk movement... and portrayed it in the most wildly entertaining ways you can imagine. Join revered them for a lawless, godless evening of shattered glass, torn leather and teenage rage!

Mark your calendars for the SOS Holiday Party on Dec 8 from 6pm to midnight at the American Legion Charles Johnson House. $15 suggested donation at the door.  Auction donors and sponsors have free admittance. Help them celebrate 25 years with interesting people, food, music and our best silent auction yet.  They have added a large tent this year on the front lawn for a SOS presentation and as an area for some SOS socializing---and a photo booth!  You can sponsor the event or donate a silent auction item or volunteer or just come party! AIBA will receive some of the profits from the silent auction so bid away!

It takes a special person to magically create all 7 Thanksgiving favorites in one residential kitchen (and have them all be ready at the same time?). Why stress? There are three easy ways to order your favorite holiday pies and sides from Chez Zee but you have to order by Nov 20 and pickup by Nov 22 to get in on this deliciousness. You can order online at www.chezzee.com or give them a call at 512-454-2666. You can also stop by in person and they will happily place your entire order (don't forget to dine while you are there!). They're closed Thanksgiving Day but have pickup until 9pm on Wednesday.

Link & Pin Art Space presents Heads in the Cloud, the art of Jeffrey Butterworth all through December on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with an opening reception Dec 8 from 6 to 9pm. A seemingly normal life with a normal upbringing, education, job, family, and life at home, is usually about 50% different than what it looks like. This is Jeffrey Butterworth; a 37-year old advertising creative director, husband, father of three, and lifelong lover of the normal life in a perfect pink cloud. Local space, local art, local everything!

The Business Success Center has two events coming up. On Nov 14 from 7 to 8pm, join Jan Triplett for a seminar on Brainstorming on Business Models at the Business Success Center. This is a new program from the Austin Entrepreneurial Brainstorming Meetup and the Business Success Center. It will be lively and interactive. And on Nov 15 from 12 to 1:30pm, come to Sherlock's Pub to learn what  programs and grants from the Texas Department of Agriculture will help your business grow and meet Mindy Fryer, Lead Grants Coordinator, Trade & Business Development, at the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Day camps are offered by Mariposas Spanish School on some AISD holidays so that you don't have to find a sitter. The camps are theme based, fun, and of course all done in Spanish. We have a few more planned for this semester. They will include outdoor games, science activities, music, art, Montessori lessons, and more! All day camps are open to the general public, so tell your friends. Camps are Nov 20 and 21 from 9am to 2pm and are $70 per child.

This books tells the story of the simple iconic honky tonky on Austin's south side. Teh event will feature performances by Pauline Reese, Leddy Bragg, Ben Stafford Rogers, Paula Russell and Alvin Crow! Also, Brenda Mitchell will be signing copies of her DVD Honky Tonk Heaven!

This live, instructor-led seminar provides an overview and demonstration of the ePlan Review online development plan review process from the City of Austin. The seminar, to be held Nov 1 from 12 to 1:30pm at 505 Barton Springs Road, is free of charge. Seminar attendees will learn about submitting applications/paying fees online, creating a project, uploading building plans/drawings, completing tasks, tracking project markups and comments, and downloading approved plans.
