  • Barton Springs Eternal

    The Save Our Springs Alliance is hosting a reunion party to celebrate the reissue of the music video "Barton Springs Eternal" at Threadgill's on Jun 21 from 6-8pm and from 8-10pm. In 1992 a group of Austin musicians, artists and activists recorded the song "Barton Springs Eternal" in a colorful, fun-filled two day session. The video version has now been edited into a lively, all star Austin effort that retains the energy of the era and the importance of the movement. Admittance is free but donations to Save Our Springs and Save Barton Creek are graciously accepted.

  • Free Rides from RideAustin

    RideAustin has partnered with Cap Metro to offer you FREE Rides from Tarrytown! Austin's public transit provider is asking ride-hailing nonprofit RideAustin to pick you up and take you to a bus route as part of a pilot program. The program will run for six months in the Exposition area of west Austin. The program is in place in part because a 40-foot bus isn't the best option for every area of the city. The program starts Jun 11 and is free -  users just have to pay the bus fare. Just download the RideAustin app and book a ride from one of the two stops to anywhere inside the Exposition Innovation Zone.

Learn about the issues facing the springs and aquifer, buy a map or t-shirt, and become an SOS member for $10!  Yes, that's right -- their summer member drive has begun! You get a free eco-tour with snorkeling with your new membership.  They need everyone that loves Barton Springs to become a member this summer to help us educate the thousands of newcomers moving to Austin on the importance of and threats to Barton Springs. Help keep our springs clean and flowing forever.  See you at the pool!

  • ATX Vegan Drinks at Bistro Vonish

    This Friday, Jun 1, the local social group, ATX Vegan Drinks will be hosting an event with Bistro Vonish and the fine folks at Possum Park. They'll be out here to welcome some new neighbors, socialize, and hold a raffle to benefit Austin Pets Alive. Bistro Vonish will be open all day, but the party kicks off at 8PM. And don't forget to mark your calendars for the Possum Park Fourth of July Party, happening on Independence Day, 11AM- 2PM. Bistro Vonish is always BYOB, as well as kid friendly and dog friendly.
